ABOUT

Curt Rome is a native of Tallulah, Louisiana. He graduated from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2004 where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and a finalist in the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition. After spending years at large New Orleans law firms, Curt joined Barry, Rome & Scott to offer clients personal service with big firm experience. Curt is a litigator whose practice is concentrated in business litigation, insurance law, and civil tort litigation. His experience includes construction, products liability, retail, hospitality, premises liability, transportation, commercial, medical device, first- and third-party insurance coverage, professional liability, commercial and residential property damage, business interruption, business loss claims, wrongful death, and toxic tort cases. His clients have included commercial carriers, contractors, medical device manufacturers, homeowners’ associations, national retailers, domestic and foreign product manufacturers, and domestic and London market insurers.


Curt was named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honor bestowed on less than one percent of the lawyers in each jurisdiction. Super Lawyers publication named Curt to its list of Rising Stars from 2012-2017, and he has received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV peer rating which is the highest rating offered.
